Standing on the Rock,
in the midst of the Wasteland....

Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my Rock;
be not silent to me:
lest, if thou be silent to me,
I become like them that go down into the pit.
                                                                                                                            Psalm 28:1

PAX Protest Guidelines

First and foremost, start every shift with all protesters praying in front of store. Feel free to pray often for all parties during your shift.

Stay within legal guidelines; NEVER block the entrance to any business or driveway. Stay on public property. Clean up after each other and ourselves. Always leave the surroundings better than we found them at arrival.

Women MUST be accompanied by at least one (1) man at front entrance and two (2) men at rear entrance. (This is for our safety) Shifts will consist of a two (2) hour segment. You may work a double shift if authorized by group/church coordinator. There shall not be more than three (3) protestors at each entrance at one time. Both entrances must be covered.

Women and men dress accordingly (modest and moral attire only).

No children under sixteen (16) permitted on protest line. Sixteen (16) and seventeen (17) year olds must have parent’s permission as well as group/church leaders permission. There will be NO exceptions to this rule.

If at all possible have at least one protester at each entrance with cell phone and in case of emergency DIAL 911

or on suspicion of minor entering establishment… CALL 330-287-5700.

It is recommended women carry or wear whistles to announce possible danger. Should any or all protesters hear the whistle blow, all protesters shall immediately go to the assistance of the protester in need. Immediately call police!

You may witness to any that will listen; you may hand out religious tracts.

DO NOT TAKE UP PARKING SPOTS THAT NEARBY BUSINESSES RELY ON FOR THEIR LIVELIHOOD. Please remind each other of this.

Patronize the nearby businesses and let them know verbally that we support them. (Buy food, drinks and any other product that you may need). Ask your family and friends to support them, as we need to be very sensitive to the situation this action puts them in.

No consumption of alcohol before or during your designated protest time.

IGNORE all obscene, rude and derogatory comments. REMEMBER we are to be examples of Christ. When you are presented with hatred of any nature, respond in a kind, loving manner, or don’t respond at all. We must NEVER lose our temper and respond with hatred or obvious disgust. This will be a test for many of us but with God leading us, we can and will accomplish this task.

REFER ALL MEDIA questions to facilitator Tom Lyons at

pager # 1-888-379-8554 or cell # 330-201-3156.

Any other questions you may have please contact your group/church leader. They will obtain the answer for you.

Protest signs may be picked up at the Salvation Army located at 437 5. Market St. Wooster, OH.  Due to sensitivity, "Only" signs approved by the Pax Sign Committee will be authorized for use by PAX personnel.
